Water conservation in Scoil Eoin Phóil

Scoil Eoin Phóil has received a water butt from Leixlip Town Council.  The water butt was presented to the school by Cllr. Colm Purcell and Cllr. Denis McCarthy on Tuesday, 27th November.

The water butt will be used to collect rain water which will then be used to water the vegetables and flowers in the school garden.  Previously purified drinking water from the taps had to be used – a waste of a valuable resource.  As a green school, working towards our fifth green flag, this is extremely important.

We thank Leixlip Town Council for providing us with the water butt.
